March came in...

Happy Leap Year!

Febuary 29, 2008 is Sadie Hawkins day.
It's an old Irish tradition--the girls ask the boys for a date!
Leap Year!
(It was also your great great grandpa Henry's birthday. He had a birthday every four years!)

Three Chairs

In my house there are three chairs, but the chairs are not for the three bears!
A poet named Henry David Thoreau, (around 1854) lived on Walden Pond, in a little cabin in the woods. He wrote, "I had three chairs in my house; one for solitude, two for friendship, and three for society."

Or simply put, three chairs for Me, You and Me, and We!

In The Pink!

One red sock,
Plus +
One load of
whites
In the washing machine
Equals =
Pink work laundry!
( It's kind of like
red work embroidery.
)

Little Girl,
I added
One orange squirrel
Because
Orange is
A good color too.

Happy Ground Hog's Day!

The ground hog sees its shadow if it isn't raining.
Clouds have shadows when you see them from an airplane.
Chimney smoke has shadows on a sunny day.
And I have a shadow that likes to play!
